Heartland United
Hey Guys! Don’t forget about Heartland United this Thursday night 6:00pm CST.
What is it?
- Heartland LIVE! lasts for approximately 1 hour
- Each week there will be a different focus, but one common theme: Helping you grow in Christ.
- There is a live videocast from one of the leaders of Church of the Heartland to you. This first video teaching segment lasts for 7 to 8 minutes.
- Each video teaching segment has 3 parts: 1) a point that is trying to be made, 2) a scripture that backs that point, 3) a question/discussion starter.
- After the video segment, there will be a discussion in a small group setting. The discussion lasts approximately 12 to 15 minutes.
- During the discussion time, the teacher from the video segment will also be the online chat leader for those that are joining us online.
- The video segment will come on at approx. 6:05pm / 6:25pm / 6:45pm. There will be one more short videocast as we close in prayer together at 7:00.
How do I get involved?
You can join us by one of three ways.
1) By going to Duhnovsky’s home Thursday night at 6pm
2) By having a small group anywhere you want, as long as you meet on Thursday night at 6pm. All you need is a computer with high speed internet access, and some friends to do the discussion with. Possible meeting places could be libraries, businesses, coffee shops, homes, etc.
3) By joining us online personally at home on Thursday night at 6pm. Watch the video segments and then during the discussion time, use the chat room to connect, grow and discuss the point just explained on the video.
* To accomplish 2) and 3) go to: www.mogulus.com/churchoftheheartland Soon we will have a link on the homepage of churchoftheheartland.com, but for right now just click on this link and it will take you to our brand new online TV channel.
Motorcycle Chicks Initiation

Shawn, Randall, Heath
Shawn & I tagged along with Heath and Misti to Waynesboro, VA home of our favorite guest minister Randall Black. Heath did a mini-conference at Randall’s church – “The Big is in the Little”. It was an awesome, refreshing time with two great friends.
What a Celebration it Was!
This Easter weekend was incredible starting with our fantastic Good Friday service in Winamac. Can you believe over 230 people attending?!? That’s over 1/3 of all Church of the Heartland campuses together plus others watching via webcast. Congratulations once again to Pastor Herb and Pastor Heath in their new roles over Church of the Heartland.
The excitement carried over to our Sunday morning Easter celebration. Every campus had new visitors and our Logansport & Plymouth campuses had record-breaking attendances! Here at Starke County we saw plenty of new faces and an awesome crowd ourselves. Our worship team did a fantastic job! Our greeters made everyone feel welcome. The kids ministries shared their talent with two special songs to conclude the service then off to the Easter egg hunt outdoors.
I just want to brag on our church this morning! We have an incredible and talented group of people here in Starke County. Thanks to everyone who made this Easter a success! Let’s keep up this momentum and reach some more people!
Celebration Weekend ! !
Wow, as followers of Jesus Christ, this is our weekend to celebrate! Jesus lives and now we can really live! Check out a couple of great ways we can celebrate together:
Good Friday Serivce: Winamac campus 6:00pm Central Time. It is the highlight of the year. we have some great surprises in store, and I know God is going to do something special. If you need directions or carpool, please email me and we will help you get down there. This Friday!!!!
Sunday Easter Celebration 10:00am. There are tons of fun stuff planned, so invite a friend. Our kids will be singing and an easter egg hunt will follow the service. I look forward to seeing you there!
You need to know — this is not a joke!
A couple of things going on that you need to know about…..
CROSSHAIRS this Sunday. I know, I know it’s not the second week of the month. Easter is! So we need to make sure everything is in order for our Easter Sunday service. Please make every effort to attend, your input is very valuable to our success! Lunch and childcare will be provided.
Heartland-wide Good Friday Service. Friday, April 10 6:00pm CEN at Winamac campus. If you never have been to one of these, make sure you go this year! This is probably one of my favorite combined campuses service we do. And this year we will be a part of history as Pastor Herb “passes the torch” to Pastor Heath as President of Church of the Heartland. Come be a part of an awesome time of worshipping our Savior, Jesus! (you also may see your pastors “move it, move it” like you’ve never seen before:) )
What I love about Church of the Heartland is that we try to stay on the cutting edge of doing church. With technology these days, the sky is the limit. At the end of April and first of May we will be experimenting with the latest internet capabilities at all our campuses. We will be broadcasting a live feed online. We are first testing it as a “midweek service” for three weeks. So the first week all campuses will benefit from the live teaching of Pastor Heath (South Bend) with small group discussions at each local campus. Week 2 we when hear from Pastor Herb (Plymouth) and week 3 Pastor Jim (Logansport). The really great benefit of this is that we can stay right here in Starke County and still hear from other incredible leaders throughout COTH. If this sounds confusing just show up when we tell you to and you’ll get it
It’s going to be cool!
Continue handing out those Big Give cards. I love hearing your stories of giving! We have an amazing church!
