Pastor Shawn Duhnovsky

Hello! My name is Pastor Shawn Duhnovsky. I am the Campus Pastor at Church of the Heartland-Starke County. I grew up in Winamac, Indiana about 20 minutes south of my campus and graduated from Grace Christian School (a private Christian school) in 1997. I then attended Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX my freshman year in college. My sophomore year I moved back to Indiana and joined an intern program and continued my bachelors degree at North Central Indiana Bible College. I became ordained as a minister through Grace International Ministries shortly after my sophomore year.

 I have been a part of Church of the Heartland-Starke County since 1998. I joined the intern program for one year under Pastor Heath Hiatt, the former Pastor of this campus. During the intern program Pastor Heath hired me on the church staff full time. I became the Youth Pastor and Assistant Pastor until the spring of 2006. Pastor Heath Hiatt felt the Lord calling him to start another campus in South Bend, Indiana so I accepted the call of the Lord to pastor this campus. It has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I am excited to see the Lord move in the lives and hearts of people. I am looking forward to see more, of what Christ will do.

In the fall of 2000 I met my soon-to-be wife, Lyndee. We attended class together in college. After my first date with her, I knew she was the one for me. Six months later we got married and started an amazing life together building the Kingdom of God. We are a high adventure couple. We both share a passion for traveling and missions. We have been to many countries over the years on mission trips and many places on vacation. The Lord has been so good to the both of us and we have enjoyed the journey of life.

In 2004 my daughter Abigail was born. This was the most exciting day of my life! In 2006 my son Jack came into the world. They are my greatest joys! I have loved being able to share life with them and experience the joys of being their dad. I am believing the legacy of faith will continue in their hearts as they get older. As a dad, I am excited to see the giftings that the Lord deposited in them mature over the years. I pray the Lord help me and my wife to develop them into great Christ followers.
