It seems that the older I get the less I know!! I hope I never stop learning and growing in wisdom and knowledge of the Lord. Right now I am asking the Lord to increase my loving and serving people. It is so easy to be selfish and want what I want when I want it. I want to live full and die empty.

Just a guess, but I’d say most of the time we are going on circumstances instead of the word. We practice some things as Christians such as tithing based on the word. We tithe on the basis of “seeking first his kingdom’s” way of doing things, seedtime & harvest. We would never tithe if we looked at circumstances. So some of the kingdom practices I already do as a Christian, I need to be more mindful of why I do them. But unless we have a majority of our life lived according to kingdom practices in the word, we are living according to circumstances. And even worse, basing our decisions on our emotional reaction to circumstances. I don’t think Jesus wants me to withdraw from the world, afterall, he pointed out the clever manager who cheated his boss before he got laid off!

I notice a lot of movies coming soon were shows I watched as a kid too. Land of the Lost like you said. I saw GI Joe (Shawn’s excited about) seems like another.
I guess the movie people are between 30-45 and wanting to relive their childhood.

I was struck by all the advertisements that took me back to my childhood. Like, “Land of the Lost” is going to be a movie with Will Ferrill (sp)? And the commercial that I thought was going to be a remake of the Mean Joe Green commercial from my childhood, where he gave a kid his jersey. Except in the new commercial, the player tackles a guy, rips the T-shirt off him, and gives it to the kid instead.
